"But I'm From Arts/Commerce. Can I Even Do This?"

Yes.
Now here's everything you think you need but don't:
Coding. Not needed. Not HTML. Not Python. Not JavaScript. Some advanced roles benefit from basic coding awareness — understanding what code does, not writing it. You're becoming a marketer, not a developer.
A computer science degree. Irrelevant. Not a single job listing from top companies required a CS degree. Most said "bachelor's in any discipline."
Advanced math. Digital marketing uses percentages and basic arithmetic. Cost per lead = total spend ÷ number of leads. If you passed 10th standard math, you're fine.
"Technical aptitude." The tools — Google Ads, Analytics, Search Console, Meta Ads Manager — are designed for marketers, not engineers. They have buttons. You click them. The learning curve is real but it's a tool curve, not a CS curve.
Here's what you actually need, and why arts and commerce students often have MORE of it:
Writing ability. Content marketing, ad copy, email campaigns, landing pages — writing is the most used skill in digital marketing. English literature graduates, journalism graduates, commerce students who write well — you're ahead, not behind.
Curiosity about people. Marketing is understanding why people click, buy, and leave. Psychology, sociology, economics — these backgrounds train you to think about human behaviour. That's marketing.
Pattern recognition. "This page got 2,000 visitors and 3 enquiries. That page got 400 visitors and 12 enquiries. What's different?" That's not math. That's a skill you build.
The most common background among the best digital marketers I've worked with? Commerce graduates. Arts graduates. One person with a history degree who became the best content strategist I've ever seen.
The career requires curiosity, patience, and willingness to learn. Your BA or B.Com isn't a limitation. It's a starting point with strengths most people don't recognise.
Start here. Free. No technical prerequisite.
